Forging with less CO2-emissions at BGH Freital

📣We are proud to announce the successful commissioning of our new RX40 forging machine at the Freital site! 🎉 We use state-of-the-art technology to forge stainless steels and special alloys in round and flat dimensions, both for our end customers and in the form of semi-finished products for the other production lines.
The speciality: Thanks to the combined operation with our modern 20MN forging press, there is no need for an intermediate reheating and we manufacture with particularly low emissions. 🌱

The forging press is directly linked to the steelworks. This means that the ingots used can be processed while still "warm" and the energy consumption and emissions for reaching the forging temperature are reduced.
This is a further step in our sustainability endeavours and an important milestone on our way to more environmentally friendly and low-CO2 production.
