Tailor-made properties and cost efficiency
Properties such as good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity with low thermal expansion and good formability, all coupled with high cost-effectiveness: these are ferritic steels from BGH.
The high surface qualities that can be achieved guarantee the highest hygienic standards for applications in the food and beverage industry, gastronomy, medical technology and household appliances. But ferritic steels are also used for fasteners, in plant and mechanical engineering or in exhaust systems.
Exceptional corrosion resistance for very high or very low application temperatures
Resistance to corrosion, for low and high temperature applications with excellent machinability - BGH austenitic steels are very versatile.
With our precise heat treatment, we create a precipitation-free and homogeneous microstructure, the basis for reliable workability and optimal operating properties, e.g. as an efficiently machinable material for shafts in kitchen machines or as a temperature-resistant wire conveyor belt in industrial continuous furnaces. In medical technology, BGH austenitic grades are used for components for asthma inhalers, among other things.
