Properties
Tool steel with high gloss polishability, good corrosion and wear resistance as well as machinability.
The electroslag remelting (ESR) provides high homogeneity and cleanliness.
1.2083 mod ESR with Vanadium offers superior polishability (mirror finish) and improved corrosion resistance. Compared to a standard grade surface, 1.2083 mod ESR surfaces are 70% smoother.
For highest requirements, the vacuum arc remelted 1.2083 VAR offers outstanding micro cleanliness.

Properties
BGH DIECAST ONE is a Cr-Mo-V-alloyed hot working steel with optimized chemistry compared to DIN-grade 1.2367. By using ESR (electro slag remelting) excellent homogeneity and cleanliness are achieved.
BGH DIECAST ONE is the perfect choice for aluminium die casting tools. It meets the highest demands on strength and wear resistance at high temperatures and provides outstanding dimensional and shape stability and good resistance against tempering.

BGH TOUGH ONE is a Cr-Mo-V alloyed hot working steel with high thermal shock resistance and very good wear resistance. BGH Tough One clearly exceeds the toughness of the DIN analysis of 1.2343.
The same heat treatment parameters apply to BGH TOUGH ONE compared to the DIN-grade.
